So today I began reading this book by Dale Carnegie called “How to develop Self Confidence & Influence people by Public Speaking.” Now I am only one chapter into the book but its been a great read so far. I have learned that basically everyone has a bit of fear but you have to train yourself to be fearless. You have to practice, practice and practice to be able to improve yourself. This seems to relate to me, especially recently with my issues that I am dealing with, with the people around me. I hope to gain some self confidence and self identity from this book. In hopes that I will be able to speak in front of large audiences without getting that fear. I am hoping it drives me to realize speaking can be kind of fun.
But anyways, life is rough, keep your head up and do what you want to do. Don’t let others dictate your life for you. You won’t be confident and won’t be the person you want to be if you do that. I have been doing that for a while now, but I am starting to see myself becoming who I want to be. The change is coming and its going to be long and slow. But Andy Munson is coming back. I am going to take the world by storm and travel and do amazing things. I just hope when I am gone from this world I will have at least inspired one person or helped one person in one way or another. I am going to see my therapist tomorrow and I am also starting my new job. I work with Sophia so I really hope that isn’t awkward and I hope I don’t see her. But not about to quit my job because of my mistakes in the past. Time to move forward has happened a while ago and I can see where she really lies on the friend scale.
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” - Thoreau
Take that quote to heart. I think of it every day.
Good night and God bless,
Andy Munson
